The hotel itself is a beautifully restored 300 year old Stone built farmhouse which has been sympathetically and lovingly rebuilt over the past 15 years using first quality building materials, and is tastefully furnished with antiques and pieces of art and decorated by the owners Indira and Edgar Ameglio.

The extensive grounds have many beautiful spaces for quiet contemplation of the quite stunning mountain views and 360º of beautiful scenery.

Hotel Boutique MASIA LA MOTA is situated within Font Roja Natural Park, less than an hour by car, on good roads, from Alicante airport and one hour fifteen minutes from Valencia airport. Airfares to Alicante or Valencia can be found quite cheaply, and La Mota offers an unforgettable experience in an exquisite setting.
The hotel is only 6 kms to the city of Alcoy where one can enjoy excellent concerts, theatre plays, guided tours to admire the beautiful modernist architecture, as well as art galleries, or experience any of the festivals which are celebrated in Alcoy such as the internationally famous Moors and Christians date late April or the most original and oldest parade of The Three kings held on Twelfth Night.

For nature lovers, both FONT ROJA and the nearby Sierra de Mariola, also a Natural Park, offer very well marked trails such as the G-7 and rides for mountain walking, biclycling or horse riding and are home to a wealth of rare flora and fauna.
Both, Font Roja and Mariola have peaks of over 1000 mts which make them very attractive for walkers and are often snow covered in Winter.
